Estonia’s electricity price today and tomorrow

Use Today for the current Nord Pool Estonia price area, or Tomorrow to plan ahead once prices are published. Prices use Estonia’s local time, including daylight-saving changes. A clock-change day can have 23 or 25 hours; the table includes UTC offsets so repeated times are distinguishable.

15-minute prices or hourly averages?

The day-ahead market uses 15-minute intervals. The hourly view averages four consecutive quarter-hours; it is not a separate forecast. Check which interval your electricity contract and meter use. Elering explains the transition and billing intervals.

What is included in the displayed price?

This is the spot energy price, shown in cents or euros per kWh. The VAT switch adds Estonia’s standard 24% rate to that energy price. It does not add network charges, your seller’s margin, monthly fees, electricity excise or other levies. A negative spot price therefore does not necessarily mean your total electricity use is free.

The source uses euros per MWh: divide by 10 for cents per kWh, or by 1,000 for euros per kWh. The day average gives equal weight to each quarter-hour; your bill depends on when and how much you actually consume. EMTA confirms the standard VAT rate, checked 30 September 2026.

How is the cheapest time window chosen?

Choose one, two or three hours. The viewer compares uninterrupted blocks of published quarter-hours within the selected day, using only starts that have not passed. It assumes steady power use across the block. A washing machine, heat pump or EV may use power unevenly, so this is a planning aid, not a savings guarantee or device controller.

Why are tomorrow’s prices missing?

Day-ahead prices are normally published in the afternoon before delivery, but delays happen. The viewer shows unavailable or incomplete data explicitly and never substitutes zero for missing prices. It checks the public feed about every five minutes while the tab is visible. Prices last checked more than 15 minutes ago are labelled as older cached data.

Where do the data come from?

Public Nord Pool day-ahead prices are retrieved through Elering Live and briefly cached by SnippetSafe. No electricity account, address, meter data or personal consumption history is required. Display choices remain in this tab. This independent viewer is not an official Nord Pool or Elering service; check the source and your contract before relying on a price.
